hmc1049 biasing

Question

Does the HMC1049 need to be biased sequentially? There are several posts about using an active bias controller, however there is no requirement stated on the data sheet for bias sequencing. Will the part be damaged if the gate and drain are turned on simultaneously?

Hi PaulRB99, 
 The Gate (Vgg) needs to be pulled up before the Drain (Vdd) for safe operation. I would not pull them up "simultaneously" as if the drain hits first, it will likely result in damage.
