LTC5596 output ripple at low frequencie

Category: Hardware
Product Number: LTC5596

Hi,

when running a detailed characterization of the LTC5596 power detector, I measure a strange behavior at certain frequencies.
I observe the following two phenomena (see attached images):

1. At ~ 397MHz and from 780MHz - 810MHz there is a strong ripple in the response of the detector.

2. In the region around these frequencies there is a large oscillation in the output voltage of the detector at distinct frequencies

The amplitude of the oscillation can be reduced by increasing the value of C_FLTR to the maximum specified value of 1nF. In my setup, I perform subsequent RC filtering and voltage doubling with a buffer amplifier. The input power is -5dBm. The signal generator is well matched using a 20dB attenuator.

Is there a way to resolve these issues?
