Hello every one, please help me with this issue. I am trying to design circuit and want to use HMC434 Prescaler to down convert frequency from 6 Ghz to around 750 Mhz. My biggest issue is that I read in the data sheet that in this input signal frequency range (6 Ghz) input signal power should be around 0 dbm or minimum of -5 dbm but since I will receive the signal by a normal monopole antenna I expect to have signal power as low as -40 DBm coming out of antenna. so I do not know how to solve this problem. I cannot find an amplifier that has the ability to work at this high frequency, give power gain of 30 db and has an affordable price. please help
