Differential to single ended

Category: Hardware
Product Number: ADL5580

I am in the very early stages of a system design which will use both ADC's and DAC's. Both these devices will have a differential analogue interface. For the ADC channel this device could be used as a single ended to differential driver. The question relates to taking the differential output of the DAC and converting to a single ended RF output from the system. Would it be possible to use this device in that operation: obviously I would need to terminate the non-used output from the device and I expect I would need to be careful about trace impedance on the used output. However I am sure that there are 'gotchas' which I am unaware of at this point. (I am not an RF engineer).

The bandwidths are <6 GHz for the ADC channels and <8 GHz for the DAC channel. The reason for exploring this device as an option is that I will be volume limited in the design.
