Hello,
Do you mean the lock time? If that’s the case, we don’t define it in our VCO components because the response time would depend on the loop filter used.
Could you elaborate on the application that requires the response time?
Regards,
Michelle
Hello Michelle,
I mean a time required for the VCO’s output frequency set to within 90 percent of its final value after applying a step change in the tuning voltage.
I.e., will say: if an initial tuning voltage proving minimum output frequency of the VCO (Fmin) changes at very short transient step (e.g. 10nsec) to a level proving its maximum frequency (Fmax), in what time the output frequency achieves 0.9Fmax?
Thanks,
Semion
Hello Michelle,
The mentioned application assumes using the VCO in a frequency hopping mode.
If you don’t have data of Response Time for large scale frequency hopping, i.e., from Fmin to Fmax, maybe you have it for a small scale, e.g., 10% from the VCO’s tuning range or some other?
Thanks,
Semion
Hello Semion,
We don't Spec the settling time but it is in the range of tens of nanoseconds.
Kind Regards,
Michelle
Thank you, Michelle.
