EV-ADF4377SD1Z SPI Pins

Thread Summary

The user inquired about the necessity of adding a series resistor for SPI communication with the EV-ADF4377SD1Z, and whether missing registers 0x07 to 0x09 are critical. The support engineer confirmed that these registers are not connected to any internal digital circuit and are not critical to the device's operation. The user was directed to Table 42 for reserved registers that need to be changed.

I noticed that there are SPI pins on the EV-ADF4377SD1Z so inferring from that it's possible to communicate with it via those pins. However, do I need to add a series resistor or do anything else to make sure I can communicate with it properly? I am looking to use an Arduino code to rewrite the registers independent from the ACE software.

  • Hi,

Thank you for the reply! I'll take a look at the no-Os driver. It's the first time I've seen that. A somewhat related question to the SPI and looking for a clarification:

There seems to be missing registers listed here. Curious to know if it's critical to the operation of the device.
