Recently I designed PCB on RO4003 0.508mm with custom HMC408 matching topology using S-parameters from ADI for 5-6GHz band
But when tuning the board I revealed that matching doesn't match to simulation results. Actual amplifier is matched 4.5-5.5GHz band and has 19 dB gain at maximum.
Power, if perfectly tuned, is about 30dBm.
Checked simulated topology and real board -everything matches.
The last chance is that s-parameters are not correct.
Question is - where are reference points of IC. In s-parameters file reference plane for is on input pins(and its ok, input matching is as simulated). But for some reason output reference plane in file is mentioned as " is the last component on output line". Dont you deembeded s-parameters to device output?
If I am correct, please send me deembeded s-parameters or tesboard desgn, I wil deembed output parameters for myself
