Hi... I am using AD8362 Power Detector for detecting a tone at 10.7 MHz with a 7.5KHz Bandwidth IF filter (actually 3x 7.5KHz bandwidth filters cascaded in series) for my satellite beacon receiver.
The RF Input Power to a standard Norsat LNB is -130 dBm and the LNB has a gain of 60 dB and a Noise Figure of less than 1.
The final IF signal at 10.7 MHz is almost 25 dB above the noise floor shaped by the 3x 7.5KHz BW crystal filters; the noise floor beyond 7.5 KHz BW is 70-80 dB down from the 10.7MHz tone peak.
What is the minimum peak-to-noise level (SNR or C/N) requirements for this power detector to work properly?
