How does the adc work in a max2769?

Thread Summary

The user inquired about configuring the MAX2769 ADC to 3-bits for the I-channel and why the max sampling rate is only 50 Msps, limiting oversampling. The support team recommended using an external ADC for higher sampling rates and achieving at least 10-bit resolution.

In the datasheet it is mentioned that the ADC can be configured to 3-bits for I-channel, now did this become 3-bit sigma-delta ADC?.

Why is the max sampling rate only 50Msps?, there's hardly any room for oversampling. If my rf bandwidth is around 10Mhz i can hardly get 2 more bits from oversampling and assuming it is a second-order sigma-delta adc.

is there a way to get atleast a 10-bit resolution?
