Hi,
I'm DFAE, I have received a question from my customer. I wonder what is the maximum voltage rating of the integrated DC-block capacitor of the HMC943APM5E.
Best regards,
Akira

Hi,
Could you please support my question?

==<Question>==
For physical size saving reason the customer plans to use DC direct connection by removing DC cut capacitor on INPUT-pin and OUTPUT-pin.
How much DC voltage can be acceptable on each pin?
We do not recommend doing this. It would negatively affect the functionality of the part.
Thanks,
DanO
Dear Dan02-san,
Hello. I'm the user of HMC943APM5E and asked of this to Mr.AkiraO. I'd like to know the maximum voltage rating of the integrated DC-block capacitor of the HMC943APM5E.
Could you tell it to me ?
Regards

Hello,
I have reached out to the designer of this part for this information but have not yet gotten a response.. I will keep you updated if we can find this information.
Thanks,
DanO
Hi Konakai,
Response from our design team:
The breakdown voltage of capacitors is defined by foundry per process. For WIN GaAs it should be +-10V.
Thanks,
DanO
Hi Dan02,
Thank you for your reply. I understand it.

Hi Dan02,
I have two questions.
1. When referenced to GND, how much voltage can be applied to pin no.21, RFout pin?
2. About "The breakdown voltage of capacitors should be +-10V", which do you mean (A) or (B) ?
Hi Dan02,
Could you see my reply? I'd like you to answer about my question.
Thanks in advance.

Hi Dan02,
Excuse me for sending you email many times.
How about my question? I'm waiting for your answer.
Thanks in advance.

Hi Konakai,
I apologize. I thought this was answered through email but it must have been another customer.. The breakdown voltage of the cap should be 10V.
Thanks,
Dan
