HMC994APM5E & HMC1082LP4E for pulsed application

Question

Hi, 
 I am planning to use these amplifiers HMC994APM5E & HMC1082LP4E for pulsed application by switching gate voltage between ON & OFF voltages. Please suggest is it okay to proceed like this?

Hey Pathu, 
 It depends on what you are using to switch the gate voltage on and off. If you are using HMC980 to switch on and off the gate voltage, it would be too slow for your targeted response time. You can see additional information the response time of VGATE (pg.9-10) for HMC980 within this app note AN-1363 (Rev.B) (analog.com) . 
 You would need to find a switch that would not be degraded by negative voltage and would fast enough for your application.
