Hi team,
i'm testing the amplifier HMC963 with the relative evaluation board.
I attach 2 images:
- the first is a CW signal at 10 GHz at the input of the amplifier HMC963. The input power is about -22 dBm
- the secon image is the output of the amplifier at the same frequency.
At the input of the amplifier the signal has a dynamic range of about 60 dB (fundamental power to second harmonic).
At the output of this the signal has a dynamic range of about 30 dB (fundamental power to second harmonic).
Why this?
The amplifier is not working in the saturation region because the the output power is about 0 dBm and the OP1dB is 12 dBm.
Why is the second harmonic level so high?
What are the IP2 values of the amplifier?
Thank you in advance.
Best regards,
Matteo
