Hey Jac,
The turn-on and turn-off time for ADL1821 can be founded within the datasheet, specifically within the apps section "USING RBIAS TO ENABLE AND DISABLE ADL8121."
Hi Dorant,
I saw that the turn-on time of ADL8107 is in the range of 100ns while that of ADL821 is ard 50us? Would like to check if I had intrepreted any infomation incorrectly?
To give better idea on how to interpret the plot for ADL8107 enable disable, included plot below. Each vertical solid black line is called a div, division. The M100ns at the bottom of the plot indicates that each vertical line or box would be 100ns per division. Within each division is a sub-division. In this case, 20ns per sub-division. The rise time would 20- 30 ns
To answer your question for ADL8121, the turn-on time would be around 380us.
Hi Dorant,
Thks for the update. How about HMC8413? Would you know if the the turn-on time will be similar to ADL8107? I am looking for a fast switching amplifier ( up to 9GHz) in the sub 100ns range. Any amplifier u will recommend. The gain slope of ADL8107 is too sloppy.
Hey ppp,
Rise data is not available for HMC8413. Another amplifier that might work for you could be ADL8102. Operates above 9GHZ should be around the 100ns range for rise time.
Regards,
Dorant

Hello ppp,
Update on HMC8413 turn-on time. Included an application circuit used to improve the response time to about 75ns for HMC8413. Removed the RLC network that was slowing down the response time and included 5-ohm resistor to improve stability. This circuit has similar performance to default circuit for HMC8413, but with the added benefits of a faster response time.
Regards,
Dorant
Hi Dorant,
Thanks so much for the infomation. Willl go try it out.
