1. When HMC611 input signal is a pure sine wave of -23dBm@400MHz, HMC611 reading is good, around -23dBm.
2. When HMC611 input signal is a square wave of +-200mV, 400MHz, 50% duty cycle into a component with path loss of -22dB@400MHz, -15dB@>1.2GHz frequencies,, HCM611 reading is -29dBm.
the spectrum of this signal is -23dBm@400MHz, -26dBm@1.2GHz, -31dBm@2GHz, -36dBm@2.8GHz, -38dBm@3.6GHz, -42dBm@4.4GHz, -44dBm@5.2GHz, .....
My question is that why second case we get a smaller result? The power @400MHz is same, and second signal has more frequency components. it should be bigger, right?
This trouble me for a while. Hope can help me with the operation theory of the HMC611 detector.
