Unfortunately, you cannot get away with a single positive supply voltage. The attached plot shows the individual Vref and Vdet voltages. As you can see, as the output power increases, Vdet goes negative. The negative supply does not have to be -5V . A -1V or -2V negative supply would probably suffice. For the op amp, we recommend AD8638.
