HMC439 use as frequency Comaprison

Yes you can try using the HMC439 like this, but it was never intended to be used in this way. It was only intended to be used in PLL applications. There may be some hysteresis when using the HMC439 like this. Using a mixer may be a better option

How about something like the AD8302?

Dear Aandrews, AD8032 can measure the phase difference between +- 90degrees. How can i convert the my frequency difference into phase difference?

Lets say my Reference is 100MHz and my input frequency is 130MHz. Difference is 30MHz so how many degrees will correspond to 30MHz difference?

I think this device measures the phase difference between two same frequencies.

However in my case, the frequencies are different.
