I do not see any phase noise data or plots in the HMC942LP4E datasheet.
What is the phase noise performance for this divider?
Thanks,
John

Hi John,
I've looked through our historical databases and have not found phase noise plots. One of our more recent x2's in the same frequency range has additive phase noise data - HMC8342.
Hi Chris,
I actually just sampled the HMC8342 and have been evaluating It has a very good phase noise performance.
What I like about the HMC942LP4E is the simpler biasing (single positive supply voltage).
Would it be possible to have the ADEF apps team measure the phase noise for a 25.6 GHz output signal (12.8 GHz at input) on part number HMC942LP4E?
Thanks,
John

HI John,
the additive phase noise measurements are difficult and will take some time. In terms of being able to give you a quicker response. Would it be possible to give you an absolute phase noise plot, using a input phase noise source with as good or better phase noise than you are planning to use? To do this I would need a rough an idea of what your input sources expected phase noise curve looks like. I imagine you will not want to send this on a public forum. There is away to direct message me through EngineerZone if this is the case.
Chris
