DAC-adl5375 dc coupled interface & LOFT optimization

Hello

I'm considering a DAC--> FDA (ada4932 or equivalent)--> adl5375-05 dc coupled interface.

ADA4932-2 Vocm=adl5375 input common mode voltage =0..5V

Could be feasible to optimize the adl5375 LOFT,  adopting that design approach?

Thank you in advance

  • Hello sdh,

    A review of the ADA4932 datasheet shows that common mode errors are intended to be reduced.

    In order for LOFT nulling to be accomplished on the ADL5375, offsets need to be intentionally introduced on each pair. For example, I channel offset might need to be 3.1mV, so that IBBP = VCM + 3.1mV, IBBN = VCM - 3.1mV. Most applications accomplish this on modem / DAC outputs. It doesn't appear the ADA4932 would provide this functionality.

       can you comment; any recommendations?

    Best Regards,

    David
