The ADI control software does not detect ADAR1000 chips, but rather detects an EEPROM chip that has a specific value burned into it.
In your schematic, I see EEPROM connections to the 120-pin SDP connector…
The following value in hexadecimal is written into the EEPROM: 6065711100000001
ADI programs the EEPROM at our factory. This is a unique value that is used by the ADI control software. As I mentioned above, we do not give out the EEPROM programming software.
Are you planning on using…

Hi jdobler,
yes ,we have eeprom chip in our board .I will share you the schematic.
Hi,
I have one more question about writing EEPROM. Do you have any set of data to write in EEPROM.
Thanks

Hi, could you share how to write this value to the EEPROM before the assembly of the chip on the PCB? or is there a way to write it through the SDP-S after the assembly? Thank you in advance
The EEPROM is programmed at the factory. We do not give out the means to reprogram the EEPROM and we highly recommend that customers do not reprogram EEPROM. Doing so could cause the control software to have issues connecting to the evaluation board.
Thanks for your reply. However, we are making our own board (we're not using the ADAR1000-EVALZ board), therefore our EEPROM chip is not written yet. So I'm wondering how to write this value to our EEPROM chip.
Or do you mean the chip has been programmed with this value straight out from Microchip's factory (in case of Microchip 24LC32A-I/MS chip)?
Sorry if the answer is obvious, I'm rather new to this. Thank you

Are you planning on using ADI's control software with your board? Are you planning to have multiple ADAR1000 chips on your board? If so, I would not recommend using our control software as it is not well suiting to control multiple chips.
I understand. Yes, I'm planning to use ADI's control software with my board. It's for only 1 chip.
Thanks a lot for your response
Hi again, I would like to ask which address of the EEPROM to write this value on? and what is the order to write this value (LSB or MSB first)? and this value is in decimal (so we have to convert to hexadecimal), is that correct?
