ADF5610 - Wenzel 100MHz ref specs

Thread Summary

The user inquired about the phase noise specification and part number for a Wenzel 100MHz reference oscillator. The final answer provided the part number (501-19250) and instructions on how to model the phase noise in SimPLL using the reference library editor, including entering phase noise values from the datasheet.

Hi,

What is the phase noise spec for Wenzel 100MHz source?

Can you share the part number?

Possible to reproduce in simulation (SimPLL) if the REF is making a difference in phase noise?

  • Hi,

Attached is a file containing information on the Wenzel reference oscillator.

    Part number: 501-19250

You can model this in SimPLL by using the reference library editor.

When the reference library editor window opens, select : New

Then  select Table for Phase Noise as below.

From there you can enter the values for phase noise at different frequency offsets as in the datasheet.

    Regards,

    Kieran
