HMC565 S2P FILE ERROR IN DATA AS COMPARED TO DATASHEET

It looks like the de-embedding process somehow over compensated the gain. I had a  look at the s-parameters for the die and they look normal and reasonable. I'll see if I can find a better set of s-parameters for you. 

On further examination, I'm seeing some contradictions in the HMC565 datasheet.  The plot you attached indicated a gain at 12 GHz of 20 dB. The s-parameter data set says it's about 22 dB.  The last two plots in the datasheet (Power sweep at 12 GHz, and Gain vs power supply at 12 GHz) both indicate a gain of 21 to 22 dB. So these plots are more in line with the s-parameter data. We are going to take a look at this in the lab on an eval board and will get back to you when we know more. 

Yes, some contradictions evidently seen. Kindly provide updated files ASAP.

Hi, I'm still investigating this and don't have a conclusive answer. As of right now, it appears that the s-parameter data is correct and that some of the data in the datasheet is incorrect (i.e. the gain sweep showing lower gain).  The s-parameter dataset  lines up well with the die datasheet and s-parameters (gain of the die part is a little higher as you would expect).  We have tried to track down the original boards that were used to collect the data in the datasheet but have not been able to find them; this part is quite old. For now, I suggest you assume that the s-parameter data is correct. I'll report out once I know more.
