ADF5610 Eval Software

I recently purchased a ADF5610 eval board and downloaded both the SDP and ADF5610 software.  SDP went fine, Device Manager recognizes the board when plugged in.  The ADF5610 software downloaded and installed OK but when I click on ADF5610EvalGUI.exe nothing appears to happen.  No errors, no warnings, and no GUI.  I am on Windows 10.  Any idea what is going on here?  I downloaded both V1.9 (from the website) and V2.2 (from the FTP site)... same problem.  Reinstalled, ran as administrator, ran in different compatibility modes etc, no joy.  I also tried it on a clean virtual machine (Windows 10) and no difference.  Any assistance would be much appreciated.

This is a strange one. It sounds like the software has installed correctly and is running but for some reason the icon is hidden in the task bar. (As Chris pointed out the software will open minimised by default).

After running the .exe can you alt+tab and navigate to the software that way?

Microsoft .NET framework 3.5 is the target framework for this software. Could you check you have .NET 3.5 installed and enabled? After isntalling, go to "Turn Windows features on or off and ensure .NET 3.5 is enabled.

Do you have access to Microsoft Visual Studio? As a last resort I could send you the application project and you could run it through Visual Studio

  • Thanks for all the responses.  I tried alt-tab and pin to taskbar, same result.  I also checked .NET and it seems like 3.5 is installed (see attached screen grab of Windows Features).  I do have a copy of the source code from the FTP site (v0_2_2, if that is the latest).  I downloaded Visual Studio Community and opened "ADF5610.sln".  Not sure what to do from there.

At this point you could try run the source code and the ADF5610 applications interface should appear. From there it should work the same as the software downloaded from the product page.

    Have you tried this yet?
