1. HMC451LP3

2. HMC451LC3

3. HMC441LC3B

    I have some OIP2 data which can be used to estimate the size of the second harmonic. I can provide estimated second harmonic vs output power at a specific frequency or estimated second harmonic vs frequency at a specific output power level. Which do you need?

    one device was changeed .(HMC451LC3==>HMC342LC4)

    Please refer to the target frequency and output power level for the devices.

    1. HMC441LC3B 

       - Frequency :16GHz, Pout : +19.5dBm

    2. HMC451LP3

      - Frequency : 14GHz, Pout : +20dBm

      - Frequency : 16GHz, Pout : +20dBm

    3. HMC342LC4

      - Frequency : 14GHz, Pout : +7dBm

      - Frequency : 16GHz, Pout : +7dBm

    Unfortunately, all I can find is IP2 data at a relatively low level (0 dBm and +5 dBm per output tone). However with this data you can estimate what the second and third harmonic distortion would be at the levels you are interested. Here are the equations

    Equation Comments
    OIP3(dBm)=Po(dBm)-(IMD3(dBc)/2) imd2 should be a negative number
    OIP2(dBm)=Po(dBm)-IMD2(dBc) imd3 should be a negative number
    HD2(dBc) = IMD2(dBc) - 6 dB IMD2 should be a negative number
    HD2(dBc) = Po(dBm) - OIP2(dBm) - 6dB HD2 should be a negative number
    HD3(dBc) = IMD3(dBc) - 9.54 dB imd3 should be a negative number
    HD3(dBc) = 2 x (Po(dBm) - OIP3(dBm) ) - 9.54 dB HD3 should be a negative number

    The three devices have the following OIP2 performance.

    1. HMC441LC3B:  42.6 dBm (16 GHz, 5V/90mA Bias): HD2 Estimate at 19.5 dBm Po = -29.1 dBc

    2. HMC451LP3: 37 dBm (14 GHz, 5V/120mA Bias): HD2 Estimate at 20 dBm Po = -23 dBc

        HMC451LP3: 37 dBm (16 GHz, 5V/120mA Bias); HD2 Estimate at 20 dBm Po = -23 dBc

    3. HMC342LC4: 25.4 dBm (14 GHz, 3V/43mA Bias): HD2 Estimate at 7 dBm Po = -24.4 dBc

        HMC342LC4: 28.4 dBm (16 GHz, 3V/43mA Bias) HD2 Estimate at 7 dBm Pout = -27.4 dBc
