HMC-ALH435-DIE 10 Ohms on Vgg1

Question

Hi, 
 
 When I study HMC-ALH435-DIE datasheet, on the page 5 "Assembly Diagram'' shows a 10Ohms between Vgg power supply and IC Vgg1 pin. 
 I have questions as below, 
 
 1) Is the 10 Ohms resistor series in the path or shunt to the ground? 
 2) Is there any s pecification limit about the 10 Ohms resistor, or is there recommend brand and part number? 
 3) What is this 10 Ohms resistor used for? To avoid to much current go into Vgg pin?

 1) It's in series of the path. 
 2) I would recommend a bondable resistor from AVX. 
 3) The resistor in between the bypass capacitors is part of the noise filtering bypass circuit and also is there to protect the gate .
