S parameter (300kHz-12GHz)

Hi Carmen,

                  HMC465LP5 has 30 KHz to 9 GHz S-Par data. Bottom of the first TPC page.

HMC998APM5E has 100 KHz to 9 GHz S-Par data. Top of the first TPC page.

HMC930A-DIe has 30KHz to 3 GHz S-Par data. Fig 11.

HMC460LC5 has 30 KHz to 1GHz S-Par data. Bottom of the first TPC page.

 HMC459-DIE has 30 KHz to 9 GHz S-Par data. Bottom of the first TPC page.

HMC797APM5E, HMC5805A, have nothing internal that would prevent operation down to dc. But were not measured at the lower frequency band.

 HMC465LP5- All 3 files are starting with 0.05GHz to 25.999GHz. Please help advise what did i miss?

Hi Carmen,

                   The low frequency S-Parameters were never put into a file and posted to the web. Not sure of the reason. I will look into this and see what can be done.

Hi Jim,

Following this discussion, I would like to ask if you know the external bias tee they are using to get these results at low frequencies (inductor and capacitor). There is no related information in the datasheet, just a basic schematic diagram.

                Connecterized bias tee was used during characterization.

Attached is data sheet for a typical lab bias tee we use.

Thanks for your quick response. In this case I need to use SMD/die components, but it is still useful to see the datasheet of the lab bias tee you use. Thanks!

My bandwidth starts at 1MHz and, unfortunately, RF commercial choke inductors are usually characterized from 10MHz.

Thanks so much Jim, by the way, i can't any RF power detector falls within 300kHz-12GHz. Do you have any recommendation?

                   We have some peak detectors that cover 0 to 6 GHz. That is as wide banded as I see on the ADI website. ADL5511, ADL5904, ADL5910, are a few  that I find. Perhaps you could create a diode detection circuit.

Thanks for the info, Jim. We are wondering if the HMC1013LP4E SDLVA can be used as a log detector in our ALC chain? And does ADI offer any solution on the diode detection circuit?

                     THE HMC1013LP4E has a lower frequency limit of 100 MHz. I will have to check,  I don't think ADI has any diode detectors.
