HMC984

  • It is necessary for HMC984 to build a PLL. Due to incomplete online data, there are few register related descriptions and usage instructions. In order to facilitate program writing and debugging, I want to ask for detailed technical data related to registers.

    I have attached an example init sequence for a frac frequency. Registers 0x0B, 0x0C, 0x0D, 0x0E & 0x0F are all factory reserved and 0x00 should be written to each of them. 

    Yes unfortunately we have not added the HMC984 or HMC983 to ADIsimPLL yet, but they are included in the legacy Hittite PLL Design tool. See link below.

    The HMC703 is very similar to the HMC983 and HMC984 pair so if you are planning on using both together you could maybe use the ADIsimPLL model for the HMC703 for your loop filter design
