HMC194A package

I looked at the datasheet and it doesn't show a middle ground paddle on the bottom of the package.  But pictures on Digikey suggest there is a ground paddle on the bottom that needs to be soldered.   So I looked at the gerbers on the example test board and it indicates there is a solder mask opening for .09x.08 for soldering of a ground paddle.
Is the datasheet missing the ground paddle dimensions or the ground paddle does not exist on the part?

This appears to be a high isolation switch so I assume there must be a ground paddle on the package.

  • Hi rocketrod,

The HMC194AMS8E does not have a ground paddle on the bottom.
Often times, we use the same PCB for multiple products. The evaluation board for this product could be sharing this PCB with another one that has a ground paddle.

My guess is that Digikey is using generic photos, and not necessarily for this product.

    Thanks,
    HK.
