SysParameters

Hi,

I noticed that the IP2 parameter is usually entered as 20dB above P1dB.  Is there any way to get more accurate IP2 data?

I am specifically wanting to know which part has better IP2 performance, HMC636 or HMC374.  Both have P1dB = 22dBm.

Regards,

Chris

  • Hi Chris,

I will look and see  if we have  IP2 data for these parts and get back t o you.

  • Hi Chris,

I did check the for theIP2 data for the HMC636  & HMC734. It appears that the data was not measured. The amp2 model was chose because GaAs devices are pretty consistent in the P1dB /IP2 offset.

  • Hi Jim,

Thanks for checking it out.  I'll try to get the measurement and post here.

  • Hi Jim,

I am attempting to move a SysParameter model for Genesys into ADS as described in Aemon Nash's presentation seen here:

    https://ez.analog.com/webcast-qa/2020-webcasts/5-21-2020-non-linear-simulation-of-rf-amplifiers-in-keysight-genesys-systemvue-ads-and-awr-vss/

Slide 20 implies a conversion from CSV to MDF but there are no details.  I tried to convert myself using the ADS documentation but the file throws an error.  My attempt to create the file is attached. (I had to change the file suffix to TXT to upload)

    Can you help?

    Regards,

    Chris

  • Hi Chris,

I will upload a file so you can get the correct structure of the mdf file.
