rise time of power amplifiers: HMC8500PM5E and HMC1099PM5E

                We have not measured the rise time for these amplifiers. I am not certain the S-Parameter files would contain the information necessary to  accurately predict the rise time of the amplifiers.

regarding S params- I agree.

do you have rough estimation of the expected rise time? 

or is this a measurment that can be done by AD by request?

thank you, but this measurment gives no info:

first note that rise time is defined of time to reach 10% to 90% of amplitude. 10% means -20dB, so I think you can measure the time from -20dBc to full power (~10msec)

second, note that VBW in the meauisrmnet is 91Hz. which means it slows the rise time by the spectrum analyzer itsekf. so rise time is ~1/91Hz = ~ 10msec

the correct way to measure is increasing VBW to hundreds oh MHz (because I expect rise time is order of 10nsec). or use osciloscope with suffucuent analog BW (300MHz rf carrier is enough for me)
