An Alternative Chip for ADL5511


 I am using ADL5511 to be an envelope detector to extract a very low-frequency signal ~0.3Hz  in a 50 kHz modulated signal. 

However, the power consumption of ADL5511 is large, I was wondering if anyone can provide information for an alternative chip?

I want to use it to be an envelope detector. The 50 kHz carrier signal was modulated by a 0.3 Hz signal, and I want to use the envelope detector to extract the 0.3 Hz signal.

Any suggestions will be really appreciated!

    Hi achen29,

    One possible solution would be the LTC5507. This Schottky detector circuit uses external RF coupling capacitor and peak hold capacitor on the PCAP pin. See the block diagram on page 4 of the datasheet. To help with the design, there is an LTC5507 LTspice model supplied in the LTspice simulation tool. Current consumption is only around 0.55mA.
