ADL5545 & Keysight ADS

Hi everyone,

I am complitely new to board design and relatively new to ADS software, so my questions might be really basic.

I need to design a board using Analog's ADL5545 gain block.

I have seen that there are only .s2p files and .brd files of this components. How could I possibly use this to files to make the simulation as realistic as possible?

To use the .s2p i saw there are 2 (or more) possibilities, the de-embed and the standard block (found under Data Items): which one should I pick?

Thanks in advance.

    Hi EdoPellic,

For circuit simulation, use the standard block and the .s2p file.

The brd file can be imported into momentum and used for board simulation.

I would suggest you contact your ADS tech support representative for guidance on how to do this.

    Regards,

    Jim B
