Hello.
What is the minimun power to detect out of the Linear Dynamic Range?
Fo example, at 5.8GHz, the minimun in the linear region is about -37dBm. Can detect -50dBm out of Liner region?
Thanks

Hello Robert-SMI,
LTC5596 cannot detect -50 dBm at any frequency. Error increases very quickly at low levels outside the linear region.
Hello Robert-SMI,

Thanks for your reply.
But, Is possible to compensate this linearity error? Maybe through software points calibration out of the linear region?
Hi Robert,
Compensation doesn't seem possible, because for low levels like -45 to -50 dBm, output voltage is hitting the ground rail:
A better solution would be to use an RF amplifier in front of the detector, or use a more sensitive detector, for example ADL5902 or LTC5582. The best choice depends on frequency range and dynamic range requirements.
