Yes i am looking at i/q modulator chips that can fit the criteraia for the system mentioned above.

I found thatone route is using the HMC1097 to upconvert from the 100 MHz to 6 GHz. and then upcovert using the ADRF6780 which is quite expensive.

Are there any AD ICs that can create a smaller/ cheaper architecture than the one mentioned above?

Why not just do a single up-conversion with the ADRF6780? 

As jdobler mentioned the better solution would be using the ADRF6780 in IQ mode which will allow for direct conversion. 

Coud you plese provide the DRF6780 schematic and PCB reference design files that can be imported and edited in Altium Designer?

The ADRF6780 PCB board & schematic was designed using Cadence Allegro. Would those files suffice?

I believe it is possible to import allegro files to Altium although some people have reported license issues.

If you can provide them, i will check if i would encounter any issues importing them.
