ADRF5026, ADRF5044 Control Signal Application Relative to Vdd

For part numbers ADRF5026 and ADRF5044, I may not be able to control the timing of when control signals inputs get applied relative to the application of Vdd as described in their datasheets.

I understand if I apply a logic high to the switch control input without Vdd present, this can forward bias the protection diode and potentially damage.

I plan to have a 100 ohm resistor in series with each control signal input and 1000 ohm resistor in series with Vdd which would effectively limit current if/when this situation occurs.

What is a safe level of current that and flow through the protection diodes without damage?

    Hi John,

    We recommend to limit the current flowing through the ESD diodes on ADRF5026 and ADRF5044 to less than 3mA. So, using 3.3V VDD supplies, we recommend using >1kOhm series resistors on the control lines to limit the current.
