I am thinking about using the ADL5511 or an other IC that does envelope detection for a sensor I am building.
I have two signals (demodulated sine waves) from an AD630, where the peak of the signals represent the value I need to measure.
Will this IC or others work for this low of frequency? What must I do to allow it to work?
The problem is these signals are in the KHz range and no where close to ever being in the MHz/Ghz
Using a peak detector circuit like here https://www.analog.com/en/technical-articles/ltc6244-high-speed-peak-detector.html
allows for diagonal clipping or missing the values entirely. This is a problem because the low amplitudes are more significant than the higher side ones.
Where Vpos=12 and Vneg =-12
Thanks
Hi jgirgis: The low frequency performance is dictated by the hold capacitor and the bleeder resistor, C2 and R14. (Or, in the linked LTC6244 circuit, C1 and R4.)
