We are about to purchase DEMORAD but the following question appears:
- On the following web page :
On video named "24GHz Multi-channel Radar and Sensor Solution" and "24 GHz Radar Provides Safety via Obstacle Detection and Ranging"
we see different front-end compared with https://www.analog.com/en/design-center/evaluation-hardware-and-software/evaluation-boards-kits/eval-demorad.html#eb-overview
It seems that there are 8 RX channels.
It this correct and where we can find some info about those 2 different options?
The Demorad has 4 Rx channels, or up to 7 virtual elements (the middle Rx channels overlap) if both Tx channels are used.
The other device you are referring to is the Radarbook. Radarbook uses an FPGA rather than a DSP for signal processing and so makes use of 8 Rx channel frontend. The Radarbook is not supported by Analog Devices, but it was designed by Inras who are partnered with us on the Demorad. If you require more information on this, please see http://www.inras.at/en/products/radarbook.html
