Are ground vias needed on exposed pad?
And if not, is it important to place ground vias as near as possible to the exposed pad?
Indeed the evaluation board doesn't seem to have many ground vias near the exposed pad, which is curious.

Yes, you are right, in general it is good practice to put as many ground vias as possible in order to reduce ground inductance and improve heat transfer but this depends on frequency and thermal requirements of part..
Therefore since this is not to high freq, vias beneath paddlle are not used.

I have an other question :
Can you guarantee me that the device current does not have a pic current at the beginning?
For example, the amplifier ADL5610 which has a current of 100mA has a pic current of 200mA when the power is turned on, which is not indicated in the datasheet.
