ADF4158 Triangular Ramp, number of steps,

Hello,

In my project   I'm using adf4158. Datasheet says that there is 20-bit step value register, but INT value can be incremented  only by 2^8 from starting value.

Does it mean that I can generate triangular ramp with 2^20 frequency hops or only 2^8 hops?

    You can do 2^20 hops as long as the difference between Nint at the start and end of the ramp is less then 256.  For example if your reference is 1 MHz and the ramp starts at 4 GHz (Nint=4000) you can ramp up to 4.255 GHz (Nint=4255) using 2^20 hops of 243.18 Hz.
