Hi all,
I have a problem with ADRF6655. LO part is not working. I adjust 1090 MHz of LO frequency in Software. I send input frequency as 950MHz and also adjust other requirements as test procedure (5V Vcc, 3.2V IP3SET and 20MHz Ref signal). Then I measure output signal, it is about 445 MHz. I change input signal frequency and i figure out that frequency of LO signal was about 1395 MHz. But it should be 1090 MHz. After that i try to enable LO output driver and it works!!! Then i change LO frequency but there is no change in LO output, again about 1395MHz. I don't understand that why LO frequency works out of my control and how was LO output driver enable.
Thank you for your replies

Hi,
On pg 23 of the ADRF6655 datasheet, under the "Control Software" section, you'll find the comment below.
"From the synthesizer settings control interface, the user can enter the desired…
"From the synthesizer settings control interface, the user can enter the desired Local Oscillator Frequency (MHz), Channel Step Size (kHz), and External Reference Frequency (MHz). The user can also enable the LO output buffer and divider options from this menu. After setting the desired values, it is important to click (Upload all registers) for the new settings to take effect." This button is shown in Fig 67. Can you try and let me know if this solves the problem ?
Thanks,
Darrell
Hello Mr Darrell,
I don't understand why were you send me this mail. I know you said but it doesn't work. I mean that it works in enable to LO output commend but doesn't work in adjusting LO frequency. It produces only one frequency, 1395 MHz, for LO. For example, i want to 1090 MHZ LO signal but it gives me 1395 MHz. Also i want to 1200 MHz LO signal but it gives me 1395 MHz!!
The previous email was to verify proper input to the software GUI interface. If everything looks correct with the GUI, then perhaps take a look at the below thread to verify drivers, etc are ok. What OS are you currently using ? Some issues have been noted with later OS, beyond Windows 7, but the link below may help if using Win 10 for example.
