I am using two EV-ADF4355-2SD1Z boards to generate two RF signals. I was able to adjust the phase difference between the two RF signals using the phase adjust on the GUI. But, this was only when N is frac. I was unable to change phase when the RF frequency is an integer multiple of the REFin. Could someone help me on this please? I have attached the setup I was using.
Is there anything to be changed in my GUI setting above to have the phase adjust working for integer N? It is perfectly working with Fractional N.
The SD modulator needs to forced to enabled for phase adjust to work when in integer mode, as the ADF4355 normally disables the SD automatically in integer mode.
To do this you will need to access the hidden testmodes of the part. In the evaluation software, double click the ADI logo in the bottom right corner.
First set Muxout in reg 4 to b0111 (reserved - testmodes), then go to the 'other functions' tab. In the SD Testmodes drop down box, set 0100 (SD EN with FRAC = 0)
