Good morning-
I'm planning to use an AD8309 as an IF limiter for an all-analog FM receiver design. While I realize that FM doesn't typically call for any type of AGC, I would like to use the VLOG/RSSI output to control the gain of an ADL5530 in the RF section of the receiver. Given the speed of the AD8309 and the relatively large control loop, can I expect significant stability issues when used in this manner? Are there any Analog/Linear application notes available to help with designing a proper compensation network?
Thanks in advance,
-EHaag
Hello EHaag,
Applications Notes AN-1507 and AN-1527 talk more about Automatic Gain Control Loops or Automatic Power Control circuitries. Below are the links:

Hope these can help.
