I want to use the HMC963 for a broadband rf front end application. What I want to know is how I'm supposed to protect it from excess input power. I'm not seeing any power limit diodes that meet the 0 dBm requirement. I want to use this part for space constraint reasons. I'm open to suggestions.
Thanks
Hi,
This is LNA therefore whatever you add in front of this part, Noise Figure of receiver is going to degraded.

That doesn't answer my question. The 0 dBm input power max is low. You have lna's that are +20-dBm which there are protection PIN diode made to protect this power level.
If there is no limiter, I do not see other solution than finding different LNA with higher max input ratings.
Do you want me to check what we have?
If you go to Mouser/Digikey and use their parametric search you should be able to find diodes with a sufficiently low forward voltage.
