I am currently trying to use he HMC561LP3 eval board. I am currently driving it with an input on the order of 3.5dBm at 5GHz with a supply voltage of ~5V (4.9V). I set Vgg to around -1.5V giving a and Idd of 98mA. Under these circumstances the device only gives a -8dBm output, does this indicate a failure in the device or am i missing something? A few things seem to indicate that at least part of the device is still functioning
-The output signal is at the second harmonic
- If no voltage is supplied the second harmonic does not disappear
-Changing Vgg changes Idd and the output power.
