Hi,
I am looking for a mixer chip which should have LO range of 2 ~ 4 GHz and be able to output IF frequency of 2 GHz...
Actually, in the transmitter side, we are going to mix the LO signal (2 ~ 4 GHz) with AD9361 modulated output at IF frequency of 2 GHz. Hence, on the antenna side, we will get our desired band of transmission that is 4.4 ~ 5 GHz...
In the receiver side, we will do down tuning so that we will get IF frequency of 2 GHz...
Please suggest Mixers that suits for the above...
Thanks,
Muthu
The LTC5576 active mixer can be a good choice for your frequencies:

Although it is labeled as an upconverting mixer, it can be used in downconverting…
ADI offers a large number of mixers suited for your application. Some examples are in the table linked below:

If you can provide some performance requirements, we can better help you in selecting the best candidate.
Hi Shsiao,
Thanks...We will mix the AD9361 IF output at 2GHz with external LO ADF4351 which provides 2.4 - 3 GHz to get our desired band of transmission 4.4 - 5 GHz (RF frequency)...
Up Conversion:
AD9361 IF output - 2 GHz, 6.5dBm max output power
ADF4351 Ext LO - 2.4~3GHz, LO drive level from ADF4351 is -4dBm to +5dBm
We will put a power amplifier that has a gain of 26dBm to amplify the mixed signal...
Down Conversion:
AD9361 IF Rx input - 2 GHz, Max input signal level < +1 dBm
RF input signal range to the mixer - 4.4 ~ 5 GHz
Please suggest
Although it is labeled as an upconverting mixer, it can be used in downconverting applications as well. The LTC5576 datasheet shows an example on page 23.
