Article How does the RFOUTx_OPWR setting in the ADF4382A map to RF output power? What are the recommended power settings?

Data taken with the ADF438A evaluation board shows the relationship between RFOUTx_OPWR settings and output power (see file at link below). The measurement was not de-embedded, so the power reference plane is the SMA connector on the board. The file includes a plot of output power vs frequency for power setting 11 along with a sweep of output power vs power setting at 15 GHz. We recommend not to use power settings above 11. At setting 12, the output power drops relative to setting 11, but it comes back up at settings 13, 14, and 15. However, you do not get higher power than setting 11. Therefore, the simplest approach is to stop at setting 11.
