Is CN0566 the best starting point to learn beamforming radar?

Thread Summary

The user is developing a radar prototype and inquires about the sufficiency of the CN0566 development package for beamforming. The support engineer recommends starting with the Pluto SDR for basic beamforming, then progressing to the CN0566, and finally the X-Band Development Platform for a professional system. The user confirms they are already experimenting with a simpler Doppler radar using LimeSDR USB and asks if the CN0566 is sufficient for software/DSP development until the final product, and if Python can be used for the X-Band Development Platform instead of MATLAB.

Very good day,

I'm in the process to learn about radar technology and tried to develop one radar prototype which will implements beamforming theory. But our team are are still lack of theory and implementation regarding to that matters. My question is, are the CN0566 development package sufficient enough as a starting point for radar development? Or can you suggest us the more comprehensive approach in term of development kit from which we can use for our radar development?

From your expertise suggestion, we will proceed for purchasing and please advice us on which channel we need to proceed for purchasing.

Best Regards,
