CN0510 - Measurement Values

Category: Hardware
Product Number: AD5941

Hi!

We have a few questions on the parameters and the measurements we are receiving.

Test Scenario: We first were going to measure the device under 1 milliohm resistor and a 1ohm resistor for a baseline. And then we were going to measure LiFO prismatic battery at ~100s microohms impedance.

  • Can you explain what values to use for:
    • AC Amplitude
    • DC Bias
    • Calibration Resistor
    • Number of Points - Is this grabbing a certain number of interpolated points between frequency sweeps?
  • Are there certain limitations to the batteries that we can measure?
  • Is there a test we can do to make sure we did not overload the board?

Thanks

  • Hi,

Typically AC Amplitude <= 300mV and DC Bias =1.2V is ideal for the Darlington pair in CN0510.

Calibration resistor of 1mOhm may be used for your use case.

Number of points is the number of frequencies between start and end frequency at which measurement is taken.

Max battery voltage is decided by rating of the isolation cap Cisox. If max Battery voltage expected is 12V, cap rating must be >=20V.
