how do i use cn0540 with de10-nano?

Hi, 

I bought a cn0540 with de10-nano board. I used the board and tested a simple program in the link below.

But I wnat to another way to use it. I want to get sensor data in another way without using IIO-Oscilloscope. 

How can I study verilog or vhdl in quartus to control data and out connector?

My goal is to connect the computer and the board to the serial port(or LAN port) and view the data as Python.

I can't find any relevant information in Internet. However I find this site and deal with this board.

Can I get a link or file(or book name) related to this please?
