The RESET/VL pin of ADG1414 is open in CN0209

Category: Hardware
Product Number: ADG1414

Hi Guys,

Thank you for your support.

The Reset/L pin is open in application circuit of CN0209.
If the Reset/VL pin is open, is the logic power supply generated ADG1414 internally?

Best regard,
Yuki.

  • Hi Yuki,

Indeed, this does look strange, RESET/VL does not appear connected in the schematic. I don't have a board in front of me - have you looked at the board physically? Does it appear to be floating? The datasheet is pretty explicit that this is intended as a power supply to the point wher there is this note: " When using the RESET/VL pin to complete a hardware reset, all other SPI pins (SYNC, SCLK, and DIN) must be driven low.", and furthermore, the abs max ratings specify that digital signals cannot go more than 300 mV above VL, implying there may be ESD diodes from the digital pins to VL.

    We'll do some investigation.
