The key specifications that you should always consider when looking at the drive capability of the gate driver are 
 
 the edge rates required 
 the operating frequency needed 
 and the load that must be driven 
 as well as the voltage levels that you need to drive to. 
 
 Knowing these variables will help to understand the thermal dissipation which can sometimes become the limiting factor in the design. 
 
 The quickest way to figure out if a particular gate driver will support your design is to compare the Rdson of the driver. The lower this value is better
